Goodbye Old School, Hello New School

12-5-2017

So this is the first picture that I took. It is of the construction. This is going to be demolished tomorrow.

The picture here shows the library and what use to be the corridors getting destroyed.
This picture here shows the corridor closer and how it is destroyed and getting destroyed still and more.
This is the last picture and it shows the side of the old office which has been destroyed and some of the parts of it on the ground.

Tomorrow the library will be demolished so when we come back to school on Monday there will no longer be a library. Currently the old office is getting destroyed and taken down and so is the corridor.

Please feel free to leave a comment.

Exploring Blogs

We are learning to create a positive digital footprint.

We often share personal information when we are online. The people we share with could be our friends and family or people we don't know. We need to make smart decisions about what personal information we share online.

My Great Graduate Profiles - Amelia

WALT: Come up with goals we want to achieve and write the reason why.

To look at the Graduate Profile for the end of Year 8 and choose 1 from each section. There is 2 sections, then we had to write 3 reasons why we chose them.

There was a part that was hard and it was the explanation part which was because when ever I wrote it down I kept using the same sentence and description as each other just in a different concept.  because I didn't really understand what to do at first but it got easier in the end. For the writing part when we wrote the reason why we chose that goal, I kind of struggled because I tried to explain the 3 reasons I chose that and I couldn't and then I got to this part and I completed it.

Please leave a positive, helpful and thoughtful comment to help me with my learning.

Pet Day

Pet Day

Hey, welcome back to my blog. So today was pet day and I had no pet which I was fine with it. I got this sheet with like a scavenger hunt on it. Once I had completed it I just walked around at least 5 times to see all of the animals. This may be updated sometime in the holidays or in the weekends. Here is a slide I made:

Next step: Add more information and try to add more pictures if people want me too.

Khan Academy

Khan Academy

Kia Ora, welcome back to my blog. Today I will be explaining what we did using 1 hour of code on Khan Academy. So we had a bit longer than 1 hour but, that doesn't matter. We were coding a bunch of drawings and like colouring them in which is really fun. I made quit a few things. If you were to start you would start on Welcome To Hour Of Code! Then you would go onto the next thing which is Learning coding on KA. After that you would move onto Making Drawings. For that you make a drawing and it is of a face. You will next have a tip on how to Number Scramble but you can skip. Okay so then you will move onto a Challenge which is Simple Snowman. Once you have finished that you will move onto Drawing more shapes with code. Soon you will move onto another challenge which is a Waving snowman, and so on. Here are some picture:

Okay bye.

Christmas Card + Christmas Poem

Christmas Card + Christmas Poem

Hey guys so as you may or may not know Christmas is in a few weeks. In Literacy we have been working on a Christmas poem as well as a Christmas card. Now when I say card I don't mean a real card I mean a slide. I mean a slide that is kind of like an animation. I really enjoy making it and I think you will like them. Here is my Christmas card:

Here is my poem:
My Mysterious Christmas Recipe

1 Cup of Laughter
1 Cup of Joy
2 Cups of Family
½ Table Spoons of presents
3 Quarts of Happiness
½ Cups of Love
7 Teaspoons of being thankful
1 Dash of Giving

Add 1 Cup of Laughter with1 Cup of Joy, mix it together and you're nearly there. Next add 2 Cups of Family with ½ Table Spoons  of presents and 3 Quarts of Happiness. With the dough you have made add ½ Cups of Love, 7 Tea Spoons of being thankful, 1 Dash of of Giving. Knead it together in a big bowl for 5 minutes. Then put it in the fridge for 1 hour. Once it’s done in the fridge, need it again for another 5 minutes. Soon put it in the oven for 2 hours at 150 degrees and then take it out. Then WA-LA you have CHRISTMAS JOY!
Thank you guys so much for watching. Bye!
